- Pseudallescheria boydi: fungal lung infection in near drowning.


Culture
- Plates:
  - Sabouraoud
  - Sabouraoud with actidione: selective for dermatophytes, such as Fusarium.

- Lactofenol on colony and visualisation using microscope.

- Identification
   - location the samples
   - how the colony look like macroscopically
   - the colour and apperarance of the surface of the colony
   - the colour and apperarance of the bottom of the colony

- Tricophyton rubrum
   - between toes
   - white with increased surface, olive green bottom
   - St. Andreas cross
   - not too many spores in comparison to Tricophyton mentagrophytes

- Microsporum canis
   - macroconidia like green pea.

- Scopolariopsis
   - cinnamon appearance on surface.
